Green Links Lanka contributed to the environmental exhibition 'Soba 2012' organized by Central Environmental Authority on 5th and 6th of June, 2012 for the world environment day. We were able to educate general public on importance of proper management of electronic waste, highlighting its benefits and the adverse effects of improper management of e waste. Large number of school children, university students and general public visited Green Links stall at the exhibition and got educated on e waste through various Medias such as PowerPoint presentations, educational videos and leaflets etc.
A computer based quiz competition on e waste was prepared for school children with the aim of enhancing their knowledge on e waste while entertaining the game. Students showed a great interest on this and pupils who scored higher marks were awarded with gifts.
